World's biggest Starbucks Tokyo

Despite the real fact that I never go to Starbucks while in Japan,
I'll start with post by telling you that you MUST go to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery that has recently opened in Tokyo. It will blow up you mind.

As well know, this is the biggest Starbucks in the World at the moment. Four floors not only dedicated to coffee. A whole floor is for Teavana  and if you are more into grownups stuff you can visit their bar Arriviamo  to get boozy any time of the day.

As Italians we got some aperitivo and tried the Aperol Spritz. The drink was well done ( As I work in the field I stared at the barman all time long to know if he was doing it right... Sorry, barman I was annoying. )
Prices are overall reasonable, 1000 /1200 yen for a cocktail, you need to count that in many places in Japan the price is 800 yen, it sounds ok to me.  You might want to get a note, if you're going to have a date here in Japan, definitely a cool place .

The store also has a full Bakery, thanks to the collaboration with the bakery Princi  you can get any sort of sweets and authentic Italian bread, piazza and focaccias.
We tried them for you guys and they are well approved.

Ok, now let's focus on what actually Starbucks is known for...the coffee.
On the first floor you can see the roaster on action and shop at the bean store to buy freshly roasted beans. In this case price is high but  possibly a cool birthday gift if you know any coffeeholic.

Other then just ordering a simple drink here you can share your experience with someone and get a "flight".

I know isn't it awesome ?!

As a coffee drinker I loved this experience, you can choose your brew method and pick up three type of beans from the list provided, no worries English is available of course.
If you are traveling to Tokyo is a nice way to spend a rainy day indoor. The cost of a flight is in between 2000/2400 yen, the amount of coffee was actually a bit too much for two of us.

Have you ever had a coffee brewed with the siphon ?
It's one of my favorite way to make coffee, we could sit right in front the flames and check all the process, It has been memorable.

The staff was amazing, everyone had a smile and paid attention to the costumers needs.
English is understood but not fully spoken by everyone but we didn't have any problem.
Instead I had one of the most awful Starbucks costumer service at the Reserve Roastery in Vancouver, where I'd never suggest anyone to go,  staff is not well trained and lazy.

We spent a huge amount of time by exploring the store, taking pictures and trying different food and drinks.
If you like design and architecture, like I do, the store is impressively well made. I loved the atmosphere, the colors and the details. The store is located near the Meguro river, where are two outdoors patios facing onto the river and during cherry blossoms season must be a phenomenal view point.

I have a wide travel experience, came and slashedy lived in Japan for 8 times in the past 12 years,  It sounds silly to suggest to visit a Starbucks in Japan but as personal opinion is more worth it than a Maido Cafe.

The store is located few minutes walk from the Naka-meguro Station ( Hibiya Line)
2-19-23 Aobadai Meguro-ku Tokyo 153-0042

Opening hours : 07:00~23:00

Me and my friend went there on a Monday around 11 AM, once arrived the stuff will guide you to a close by building to pick up your number, you need to collect a number for each person.
Our predicted waiting time was 20 minutes but at the end after only 10 minutes waiting was our turn.
I've appreciated the system, it avoids a crowed store and long lines up to order, It made the store enjoyable and we where able to find seats anytime.
